PLOTTER USA at the 2026 California Pen Show

The California Pen Show has been the annual event for PLOTTER USA, which signals the start of our in-person events for the year. The energy at the California Pen Show is always buzzing as pen and paper enthusiasts gather from all over California to connect over fountain pens, inks, stationery, and PLOTTER! This February, PLOTTERs from all over the country visited the PLOTTER USA tables to experience and learn about the variety of PLOTTER tools we have to offer.

The nice thing about attending the pen show is that PLOTTER fans and new visitors can see and touch the leather binders and decide what works for them. At the tables, the team curates a selection of Leather Binder samples in all sizes, as well as refill pages demonstrating different ideas to use this system. At the show, PLOTTER’s 9th Anniversary Pueblo Limited BOX sets in Red Brown were a fan favorite! Many users were excited to see this unique color of Pueblo leather at the show. These Limited BOX sets comes in all sizes (A5, Bible, Narrow, Mini, and Mini 5).

Another special item featured at the California Pen Show were the PLOTTER USA Shiranami Leather Binder in Mini 5 Square Size. Fans of the PLOTTER Japan Blue Project were eager to see Shiranami leather in this compact size. Shiranami Leather is tanned in Himeji, Japan, and features indigo-dyed leather with a white core, finished with a white wax coating that gives it an iconic icy appearance. As you use the binder, the wax coating gradually recedes to reveal the deep indigo leather beneath.

Another highlight at the show were the PLOTTER USA Exclusive Horween Predator Amber Leather Binders. This was the first time we were able to share these special Horween Leather Binders with fans in person. This PLOTTER TOKYO Flagship leather is oil-smoothed and supple to the touch. The rusty amber appearance shows a lot of character and will age like a pair of premium work boots. The pull-up properties of this leather made each binder one-of-a-kind.

Along with the Horween Predator Amber Leather Binders, we showcased other event-limited collaboration with Horween Leather Company. The Horween Dublin Leather Binders in a rich mahogany color and the supple Horween Glove Leather Binders in a honey yellow color won over the hearts of many PLOTTER users due to their fun colors and their unique characteristics.

While PLOTTER fans initially came to the PLOTTER USA tables to shop in the mornings, many users came back in the afternoon to participate in the PLOTTER Corner Hardware Customization service. PLOTTER users had a chance to customize their Leather Binders by adding corner hardware in either matte gold, silver, rose gold, or black hardware to their PLOTTER. Many users opted for rose gold hardware to match their new Horween Leather Binders.
