PLOTTER USA made its first appearance at the inaugural San Francisco Stationery Fest, heading up from Long Beach to spend a few days in the Bay Area with the stationery community. The festival ran from March 27 to 29, and the weekend began with a special Thursday night gathering for PLOTTER fans, which set a warm, community-forward tone for a weekend full of stationery and creativity.

PLOTTER Lounge and Creative Experiences
To start the weekend, PLOTTER USA welcomed guests to the PLOTTER Lounge on Thursday afternoon! The lounge was designed as a choose-your-own adventure, with hands-on stations that invited everyone to slow down, try PLOTTER’s DP paper, and create something personal. At Build Your Own PLOTTER Paper Cocktail, visitors mixed and matched 10 sheets from a paper “buffet” of PLOTTER design papers to build their own unique paper flight.

Nearby, the Creative Writing Bar encouraged attendees to sit down with PLOTTER refill memo pads featuring DP Paper, pick a journaling prompt, and let their favorite pen do the talking. This station was a time for introspection and reflection.

For a more visually creative station, the Paper Collage Mixology offered black and white photos, film strips, collaged keywords, and other ephemera for building a mini mood board or dashboard on PLOTTER DP paper or color papers.

Alongside the making stations, PLOTTER’s Plaza gave attendees a chance to flip through staff-created and curated binders and page samples. This was also a station that allowed guests to feel the different PLOTTER leathers and see the unique patina that can develop over time with these leathers. With the PLOTTER USA Pop-Up Shop just steps away, PLOTTER Lounge felt like a lively space for “paper tasting,” creative experimentation, and of course, reconnecting with friends from past PLOTTER pop-ups in the Bay Area.

Seeing PLOTTER In Person
A highlight of the weekend was seeing fans and new customers experience PLOTTER in person. It started at the PLOTTER Lounge, where guests could slow down and explore our leather binders up close. When the festival floor opened up on Friday, SF Stationery Fest was the ideal place to see the full range of our offerings. So many guests told us it was their first time seeing PLOTTER in person, and we enjoyed showing what PLOTTER leather binders look, feel, and even smell like!

Red Brown, Just Like the Golden Gate Bridge
At SF Stationery Fest, PLOTTER’s 9th Anniversary Pueblo Limited BOX sets in Red Brown quickly became a fan favorite. The warm, brick-toned Pueblo felt right at home in the Bay Area, seeing as the warm red hue seemed to match the color of SF’s very own Golden Gate Bridge. It was fun seeing guests make that connection and consequently feeling more connected to the Pueblo Red Brown color after seeing it in person. These PLOTTER Limited BOX sets come in all sizes, including A5, Bible, Narrow, Mini, and Mini 5.

The Bay and Its Waves
Another standout at SF Stationery Fest was the PLOTTER USA Shiranami Leather Binder in Mini 5 Square Size. Fans of the PLOTTER Japan Blue Project were excited to see Shiranami in this compact and unique format. Tanned in Himeji, Japan, Shiranami is an indigo-dyed leather with a white core, finished with a white wax coating that gives it a crisp, icy look. With use, that wax gradually softens and recedes, revealing deeper indigo tones underneath.

Amber Hues in the Golden State
Showcasing the golden amber tones of the Horween Predator Leather Binders in Amber felt fitting at SF Stationery Fest since we were in the Golden State. These PLOTTER USA and PLOTTER TOKYO exclusive leather binders feature Horween leather that is oil-smoothed and supple to the touch. Thanks to its pull-up properties, each binder develops its own unique look and patina.

PLOTTER TOKYO Comes to SF
The PLOTTER USA team was especially excited to bring a slice of PLOTTER TOKYO to San Francisco. PLOTTER’s new flagship store, PLOTTER TOKYO, is full of in-person exclusive items, and we were thrilled to share a few highlights with the Bay Area. With a little convincing from the PLOTTER Director, Takayuki-san, we brought along PLOTTER TOKYO exclusives like the Kurozan Leather Binders, which are leather binders finished with a Japanese lacquering technique. We also saw a lot of curiosity around PLOTTER TOKYO-exclusive refills, like the 1 mm Grid Refill Memo Pad, since the ultra-fine ruling is a first for many PLOTTER users. Paper Dividers and the Limited Flat Pouches in Green, Beige, and Orange were also fun pairings to accessorize your PLOTTER.

Until next time, San Francisco
Thank you to everyone who supported PLOTTER USA at the San Francisco Stationery Fest. Seeing the community share ideas and show off their PLOTTER setups at our tables is always the highlight of these events. As the PLOTTER community grows, so does our appreciation for the PLOTTER users who continue to inspire us creatively.

The next PLOTTER USA Pop-up Event will be at Stationery Fest in New York City from July 30 to August 1, 2026, and we look forward to seeing you there!

Draw today, shape tomorrow.
